weekend getaway

i am so excited right now.  i just got approval (from the hubs) to plan our family getaway this weekend!  i've been wanting to do one for awhile now and with monday being a holiday (yes i finally work at a place that gives me presidents day off, woot woot) it is the perfect timing.

i found an awesome deal online for a hotel in cincinati that includes tickets to the newport aquarium in the room cost.  we are heading out saturday morning and going to Hofbrauhaus for some yummy food and beer and then going to the aquarium.  i cannot wait to see huston's reaction.  there is a penguin show and a frog exhibit.  he is going to go nuts.  there are lots of other fun things to do in that area, so we'll play the rest by ear.  even to just stay in and enjoy a big comfy hotel bed (i love hotels, it must be all the traveling i used to do for work), watching tv and laughing with my boys sounds wonderful!
