20 Months of Laughter

Huston, you are 20 months old today.  You have always made us laugh, but so much more so here lately.  You definitely have your own personality and you are going to be the class clown, the flirt, the teachers pet and the athlete all rolled into one.

During the last month, you have gotten so busy!  When you get home you immediately play with your cars, tools or dishes only stopping if you need to take a break and dance.  You have also decided that Dad and I are the perfect jungle gyms and you climb all over us.  You literally don't stop moving until about 8pm at night.  Then you crawl up on me and cuddle a little before bedtime.  You are such a big boy that when we say time for bed, you start heading up the stairs all by yourself.

I love picking you up from school and hearing what they say you've been up to.  You are always doing silly things with your friends or making  your teachers laugh.

Right now you are still really into Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  You have really gotten into the movie Cars, so we can't wait til Cars 2 comes out and we can take you to the movies.

You love to walk the mall, and I use the term walk loosely.  You typically run so fast your little legs can barely keep going and only stop if something catches your eye in a store.  You are completely fascinated by the mannequins and do not understand why they don't pay you any attention.  I think it hurts your feelings.

You have also discovered your pockets and love to put things in them.  But it requires active participation from Momma or Dad, because you like to do your own version of pocket peekaboo.

You also have learned to use your hands when talking.  Your "What", "I don't know" and "Huh" is covered by you sticking you hands out .  You use the sign language for "More" still.  You point at Momma and say "No, no, no Momma".  I finally figured out you are doing the 8 Silly Monkeys when you do it, "no more monkeys".  You also point to your diaper when you poop.  And when you hug you pat us on the back.

You are so full of words that I can't keep up with them all, but here are some of your newest ones, Teeth, Cow, Moo, Please, Pocket, Tree, Monkey, Bubbles, Keys, Book, A's, Hi, No, Nana, School, Cars, Open.

We love you so much and can't wait to see what happens in the next month!
