Huston, you are 21 months old today!
As usual, you have changed a lot in a short amount of time. You have learned to jump and can be found most days throwing your arms behind you and jumping up, jumping on cushions every chance you get, jumping in the bathtub and making it splash and jumping on your dad the minute he sits on the floor.
You love tubby time and BUBBLES. You play with your fountain that Auntie Dawn gave you, your Thomas trains that the Wilbers gave you and anything else you can throw in there.
You have also learned to tell us what you want. If we ask you if you want something you do not want, you tilt your head to the side and say "noooooooo" in this sweet little voice. If we ask something that you do want, you say "ya!" and clap. You are also getting really good at please and thank you.
It looks like you will have your dad's passion for cleaning, you like to get baby wipes and "dust" and you love to swiffer, so much though that you get very upset when the long handle prevents you from getting the small spaces. I usually have to take the top off so it will be your size.
I don't know what got you started on this, but you are big on pulling your own hair. You will pull it and then make this terrible face showing us that it hurts. I am constantly telling you, don't pull your hair! You use a similar face when you are trying to open or move something that you can't get. You scrunch your face up so cute and grunt and grit your teeth.
Daddy downloaded some Handy Manny episodes on his phone, so you are always asking for "tools". We are having to limit how much you watch, because that is all you would do if you had a chance. You like to pick up your own "tools" and they watch with you.
Although you still love Handy Manny more than any other cartoon, you are starting to pay more attention to what is on tv. You love to color, and even had your work "shown" in the school art show. Cars, trucks and bubbles are great fun too. We are very excited to take you to the new Cars movie when it comes out.
You and Da had some good quality time together when Momma had to go on a business trip for three whole days. You were a good boy, but you went around looking for me, throwing your arms out in each room saying "momma?". When I got home you hugged me so tight that I knew you missed me as much as I missed you and you had a rough time leaving me for a few days.
I think you are ready to potty train, now I just need to get ready :) You tell us when you poop and you love to sit on your little froggy potty chair.
You are already excelling at school. Miss Dana told me today that you are ready for the two year old room. She recommended they go ahead and move you, but they said you are still too young. You are going to be a very smart boy!
Right now you are wearing a size 7 shoe, 2T clothes (although we are still putting you in some our favorite 18 month shorts and shirts) and a youth ballcap (sorry you get that from your Da).
We love you so so so much and are proud of you every day!
